Tiny but mighty. See hummingbirds up close at the Hummingbird Festival on August 15 at Ijams!
The cornerstone of the event is the hummingbird banding station, conducted by teams from East Tennessee Avian Research and Seven Islands State Birding Park. Throughout the morning, the banding station collects non-invasive biological data, attaches numbered bands to aid in future research, and releases birds back into their ecosystem.
