GATLINBURG, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Adventure Center) — As fall travelers make their way toward Cades Cove and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, a longtime Townsend restaurant is marking 59 years in business.
Burger Master, located near the entrance to the national park, has served visitors and locals in Townsend for nearly six decades.
Marketing Director Bri Sproles said the restaurant’s location makes it a convenient stop for families heading into the park.
“We’re right next to the national park entrance, so we are the perfect stop on the way to Cades Cove,” Sproles said.
The restaurant’s menu centers around burgers, including cheeseburgers made with Black Angus beef. Sproles said the beef is humanely raised, sustainably sourced and tracked, with quality remaining a focus for the restaurant.
Burger Master also highlights its fries, which Sproles described as one of the restaurant’s specialties.
For visitors spending a fall day exploring the quieter side of the Smokies, Sproles said the restaurant offers an opportunity to grab a meal before continuing into the mountains.
