October initiatives include donations to Cancer Support Community East Tennessee and special admission offers for emergency personnel Oct. 24-31.
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — WonderWorks Pigeon Forge is recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month with fundraising initiatives and community activities while preparing to honor first responders with a week of special admission offers later in October.
Throughout October, visitors can round up their ticket purchases to the nearest dollar, with the funds benefiting Cancer Support Community East Tennessee, a local organization that provides free support to people affected by cancer.
WonderWorks also will donate 5% of proceeds from its “Think Pink” T-shirts, available in The Wonder Shop, to the organization. Guests can participate in an on-site activity to create encouraging cards for breast cancer patients, survivors and medical professionals who care for them.
“STEM is at the heart of cancer research, so we’re proud to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the upside-down laboratory,” said Ellen Holland, education sales manager at WonderWorks Pigeon Forge. “Our entire team is ready to ‘think pink,’ spread resources, and raise money for a great cause.”
The attraction also will recognize National First Responders Day with First Responders Week, Oct. 24-31, 2026. Emergency dispatchers, emergency medical technicians, firefighters, paramedics and police officers can receive free admission by presenting employee identification at the ticket counter. Each first responder also may bring up to four guests at a discounted rate of $15 per person, plus tax.
“We’re always looking for opportunities to celebrate and support our community here at WonderWorks, so this month is sure to be a great one,” said Joe Baumgartner, general manager at WonderWorks Pigeon Forge.
Located on Music Road, WonderWorks features more than 100 interactive exhibits across two floors, including physical challenges, space exploration displays, extreme weather simulators and optical illusions.
