FREE Youth Fishing Event

Bass Pro Shops in Kodak, Tenn., is celebrating the Bassmaster Classic, the biggest fishing week of the year, with a FREE youth fishing event and a chance for fans to meet the top names in professional fishing on Thursday, March 12.

The event kicks off with the Future Legends Open, a FREE fishing tournament for elementary, middle school and high school-age kids at Cherokee Lake, with nearly $6,000 in Bass Pro Shops gift cards going to the top finishers and Big Fish winners. The first 250 youngsters registered are guaranteed giveaways, including $10 Bass Pro Shops gift cards, rod and reel combos and hats. This event is designed to get kids out fishing and provide experience in a tournament format with the excitement of a final weigh-in, inspiring the next generation of anglers.

The top placing team from each division will win the Ultimate Classic Experience, which includes a VIP experience at Friday’s Bassmaster Classic weigh-in, with reserved livewell and splashzone seating, behind-the-scenes access and a boat ride with professional anglers Kevin VanDam and Mark Zona.
