Who: Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon; Knoxville City Council Member Denzel Grant;
Knox County Commissioner Damon Rawls; Knox County CFO Chris Caldwell; Randy
Boyd, owner of Boyd Sports; and proprietor Jackie Griffin of Jackie’s Dream
When: Noon on Monday, June 8, 2026
Why: The brief ceremony will mark the opening of Jackie’s Dream at the new Covenant
Health Park, home to the Knoxville Smokies baseball team, One Knox soccer team, and
many upcoming concerts and events.
How: The dignitaries will gather at noon to make a few brief remarks and ceremoniously
cut a ribbon to signify the grand opening. That portion of the event will last about 30
minutes. It will be followed by light refreshments and camaraderie.
