This free event at The Island runs from November 21, 2026, through January 31, 2027.

Winterfest Kick-Off: Tree lighting & Free Concert

Join us on Saturday, November 21, for our blockbuster Winterfest Kick-off event. Santa stops by The Island for photos beginning at 5 PM. Then, at 7 PM, enjoy a free holiday concert, followed by the countdown to the lighting of our 40-foot walk-through Christmas tree at 8 PM, officially launching the holiday season!

Holiday Display and Light Show

The Island’s multi-million dollar Show Fountain Courtyard comes to life nightly! Enjoy the choreographed 40-foot LED Christmas Trees and The Island Show Fountain. It’s a must-see holiday delight, which runs every evening at 6 PM, 7 PM, 8 PM, and 9 PM. See millions of lights, one of the region’s most spectacular walk-through Christmas trees, and over one mile of garland.

Santa Visits & Photos

Visit Santa Claus at The Island to share your Christmas wishes and take unforgettable photos. Available on select days, celebrate this magical holiday tradition here in the Smoky Mountains with your family.
