(DOLLYWOOD, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Dollywood shared a behind-the-scenes look at the largest investment ever for the park in the new four attractions in one rollercoaster.
NightFlight Expedition will take riders on a trip through the Smoky Mountains. They’ll be on a roller coaster, take flight and plunge into the waters of a river rapid as they see the Smoky Mountains at night.

It may be the most anticipated ride of 2026 according to industry insiders. The $50 million dollar expansion will pay homage to the bioluminescence of the Smoky Mountains so many come to see every year during the Synchronous Firefly event.
“For fun the whole family can enjoy, head to Dolly Parton’s Dollywood Parks & Resorts in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee,” said Conde’ Nest Traveler who named East Tennessee as one of the 14 “best places to go in in the U.S. in 2026.”
“They’ll definitely want to join us this year,” said Dollywood President Eugene Naughton. “We have an incredible Lineup of new experiences and opportunities planned to help them create lifelong memories.”
Naughton said there are more ways to experience Dollywood with a season of festivals ahead. The first will pay tribute a number one Dolly Parton hit song, I Will Always Love You with special shows and food including a show that pushes the limits on stage with extreme riders, breakdancers and aerial daredevils in an expertly choreographed production.
