(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn) SMOKIES.LIVE – Kids across the country have celebrated Read Across America this week.
Smokies LIVE Meteorologist Kyle Grainger had the pleasure to visit many schools through the week to talk about weather, how to stay safe in severe weather and read a book to the students.
Kyle read “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs” to give the kids a chance to laugh at his career as a meteorologist.
On Monday, Kyle paid a visit to Sarah Moore Greene Elementary in Knoxville and then traveled to Sevierville Intermediate School in Sevierville.
Kyle started Tuesday morning in Pigeon Forge at Pigeon Forge Primary School.
Then he traveled to Seymour Primary to read to students there.
On Wednesday Kyle started his day at New Center School in Sevier County reading to Kindergarten students. Then he made a trip over to Christian Academy of the Smokies in Sevierville.
That afternoon Kyle made a trip to Niota to speak to Niota Elementary School’s after school program where they have been studying weather.
Friday Kyle traveled to Gatlinburg Pi Beta Phi Elementary School. It was a great time reading to Mrs. Parton’s class.
