(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – With 10s of thousands of people expected in Pigeon Forge starting on Thursday, Pigeon Forge Police say they are ‘all in’ to manage the crowds.
A police department spokesperson said “The PD is all in” and expecting about two dozen police from other agencies as back-up. Back-up officers include 14-16 from THP and 10 from Blount County Sheriffs Office.
The officers said they encourage locals and visitors to expect delays and drive safely as they look for thousands of pedestrians walking around town.
“Locals and visitors alike need to expect traffic delays and congestion,” said Craig Cruise, Public Information Officer for the City of Pigeon Forge. “Drive safely due to the increased chance of traffic accidents.”

Remember to follow all traffic laws including not blocking intersections and golf carts must be street legal.
Citations issued in the City of Pigeon Forge are $168.00.
Trolley system is running on normal schedule and would be a good option to help get cars off the road.
