Friends of the Smokies, non-profit group that support the park, said there is no better time to experience the diversity of the Smokies than Spring.

“Not only does the Smokies have one of the richest diversities of spring wildflowers found in the nation, but the season also extends from March through June depending on your elevation. Often, if you miss a species blooming at lower elevations, you can still find it in bloom by going to a higher elevation,” said Friends of the Smokies.
