A spokesperson for Great Smoky Mountains National Park said Ramsey Cascades Trail will be closed temporarily due to bear activity.
(GATLINBURG, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – May can be a stressful time of year for bears coming out of hibernation and looking for food, which is scarce.
That could be the cause for increased aggressive bear activity that has closed areas of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Great Smoky Mountains National Park will temporarily close the Ramsey Cascades Trail due to aggressive bear activity in the area. Please respect the closure as rangers continue to monitor bear behavior.
