Public meetings this week will let the public share thoughts on the future of the I-75/I-40 corridor.
(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Called the most congested stretch of Interstate 40, it runs right through Knoxville and anyone who has been through the area knows how slow traffic can move.
TDOT has announced plans to study the area and make improvements in the coming years.
This coming week, TDOT will host a series of public open-house meetings.
Next week, myTDOT is hosting three in-person public open-house meetings for the I-40/I-75 West Knoxville Corridor Study, including Tuesday, June 30, 5-7pm at the City’s Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Ave. The Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) study will evaluate solutions to ease congestion and improve mobility and safety.
