SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — Drivers traveling along Winfield Dunn Parkway will encounter temporary lane closures Thursday night as crews install new traffic signal equipment.

Contractors will be working on Highway 66 at the intersection of Fred Bryan Lane from 10 p.m. Thursday, July 16, until 6 a.m. Friday, July 17 to install new traffic signal mast arms.

During the work, northbound and southbound lanes on Winfield Dunn Parkway will be completely closed for approximately 15 minutes at a time. The closures will occur separately, meaning one direction of traffic will remain open while the other is stopped.

Officials are encouraging motorists to plan for additional travel time and consider alternate routes during the overnight work.

Crews will also install traffic signal mast arms across Fred Bryan Lane, which may cause minor delays in that area.

Drivers are asked to use caution, watch for changing traffic patterns, and be alert for stopped traffic, workers and equipment in the roadway.
