SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — Families can get a little extra help preparing for the new school year as Salty Barber Company hosts a free back-to-school haircut event on Monday, Aug. 3.
The event will take place at Pathways The Hangar in Sevierville and is designed to help students head back to class looking and feeling their best.
“We are just trying to give back to the community that gives so much to us,” said Ian Morelan, co-founder and co-owner of Salty Barber Company. “It’s awesome that the community pulls together to help get kids and families ready for the school year. Look good, feel good. Just trying to make our community a little bit better.”
The event will provide free haircuts for children as families prepare for the first day of school. Organizers say the goal is to ease some of the financial burden on parents while giving students a confidence boost before returning to the classroom.
Community members are encouraged to arrive early, as demand is expected to be high.
