Bidding is underway on hotel stays, experiences and other items ahead of the association’s annual benefit tournament
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Travel Center) — The Pigeon Forge Hospitality and Tourism Association is giving residents and visitors an opportunity to bid on hotel stays, experiences and other items while supporting scholarships and local nonprofit organizations.
The PFHTA’s online silent auction is now open, with bidding scheduled to close at 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24.
The auction is held in conjunction with the association’s annual benefit golf tournament, which is scheduled for Sept. 24 at Sevierville Golf Club. Proceeds from the event support PFHTA scholarships and community initiatives.
The auction features a variety of items and experiences, including travel, hotel stays, memorabilia, electronics and other goods. The association encourages bidders to register in advance so they can participate throughout the auction.
PFHTA represents businesses and professionals across Pigeon Forge and Sevier County, including those in advertising, amusements, entertainment, conventions, lodging, restaurants, retail and other service industries.
Education is a major focus of the association’s community efforts. PFHTA provides annual scholarships for graduating Pigeon Forge High School students and supports students enrolled in culinary and hospitality programs at Walters State Community College.
The organization also promotes connections among local businesses, government agencies and community organizations throughout Pigeon Forge, Sevier County and the region.
The silent auction provides another way for the public to support those efforts while bidding on experiences and items from local businesses.
