Snowmaking upgrades, trail improvements and a new night-only pass headline preparations for the upcoming ski season.
GATLINBURG, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVEAdventure Center) — Winter fun is on the horizon in the Great Smoky Mountains, and Ober Mountain is getting ready for another season of skiing, snowboarding and snow-filled adventures.
The Gatlinburg attraction has launched its season pass sale, with prices for season passes and day tickets remaining the same as last season. A new night-only season pass also gives visitors another option for enjoying the mountain after dark.
The new pass will be valid for the final four hours of any operating day throughout the season, offering flexibility for skiers and snowboarders who want to hit the slopes later in the day.
Ober Mountain has spent the summer preparing for winter, investing in snowmaking equipment, increasing snow production capacity and refurbishing existing infrastructure. Trail improvements also are part of the preparations for the upcoming season.
The upgrades are designed to help the mountain prepare for winter operations and welcome guests back for another year of outdoor recreation in the Smokies.
Located above downtown Gatlinburg, Ober Mountain is a seasonal destination for winter sports and mountain activities, drawing visitors from across East Tennessee and beyond.
For families planning a winter getaway, the season pass sale offers an opportunity to prepare for the colder months while keeping pass and day ticket prices unchanged from last season.
Visitors can find season pass information and updates about winter operations through the Ober Mountain website.
