KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE GameDay Center) — It’s Homecoming on Rocky Top, and the Tennessee Volunteers are preparing for a primetime showdown against a ranked border rival Saturday night at Neyland Stadium.
No. 13 Tennessee (6-2, 3-2 SEC) welcomes No. 6 Kentucky (7-1, 5-1 SEC) for a nationally ranked matchup in front of another sold-out crowd at Neyland Stadium, which has a capacity of 101,915.
The game will be televised nationally on ESPN, with kickoff listed for 6:20 p.m. in the official game-day timeline.
Saturday also marks Tennessee’s Homecoming celebration. The Vols enter the game with a 78-20-3 record in their previous 101 Homecoming contests.

Game-day timeline
- 2:15 p.m. – Customer service at Gate 21 opens. Truly’s Tailgate and the stadium extended perimeter also open.
- 2:45 p.m. – Vol Village opens.
- 3:15 p.m. – Neyland Stadium gates open.
- 3:55 p.m. – Vol Walk.
- 4:35 p.m. – Pride of the Southland Band marches through campus.
- 5:42 p.m. – Four T-38 Talons conduct the stadium flyover.
- 6:02 p.m. – Dark Mode light show presented by Coca-Cola.
- 6:06 p.m. – Pride of the Southland Band pregame performance begins.
- 6:09 p.m. – National anthem.
- 6:17 p.m. – Vols run through the T.
- 6:20 p.m. – Kickoff.
The flyover is scheduled 38 minutes before kickoff because of civil twilight restrictions. Fans should also be aware that flashing lights and strobes will be used during the Dark Mode light show.
The Vols and Wildcats will meet with plenty at stake as Tennessee begins its November stretch run against one of the SEC’s top-ranked teams.
