Bridge repairs following a collision have prompted a road closure in the City of Maryville.
MARYVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Travel Center) — Motorists traveling through Maryville should be aware of a road closure that could affect travel today.
The City of Maryville Engineering and Public Works Department has closed East Harper Avenue between Griffitt Street and Wright Road following damage caused by a collision on the bridge.
City crews are currently assessing the damage, and repairs are expected to begin as soon as possible.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the roadway reopens.
