Sevier County 4-H workshop gives students a chance to sharpen kitchen skills while making treats for their furry friends.
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Next Gen Center) — Calling all young dog lovers! Sevier County 4-H is offering a unique opportunity this fall for students to roll up their sleeves and bake homemade treats for their four-legged best friends.
The hands-on workshop will be held Tuesday, Sept. 29, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the UT Extension Office, located at 752 Old Knoxville Highway in Sevierville.
Participants will learn basic kitchen skills while mixing, shaping and baking healthy dog treats to take home. The event is open to students in 4th through 12th grade.
The cost is $5 per participant, and space is limited to 15 participants, so early registration is encouraged.
Registration opened Aug. 3 and will remain open through Sept. 25, or until all spots have been filled.
Whether your dog enjoys crunchy snacks or you’re simply looking for a fun after-school activity, organizers say the workshop is a great way for young people to build confidence in the kitchen while creating something special for their pets.
