(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – The Pigeon Forge Tourism community gathered on Thursday to raise money for tourism industry programs at Walter’s State Community College.
Pigeon Forge Hospitality and Tourism Association members gathered at the Pigeon Forge Bowling Center for a day of fun and games. Three flights featured local bowlers.
Fund from the day go towards hospitality and culinary programs at Walter’s State.
“25 years and we do this every year we bring our community together. We’re giving back. Proceeds from today goes straight to Walter’s State and today we’re very close to a major milestone,” said Amanda Barnes, President of PFHTA. “Tourism, restaurants, attractions, hotel all directly benefit from this program. We want our kids to get their education local, and we want them to stay local. We want them to know tourism is a grand career.”
