(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Runners will converge on downtown Sevierville on Saturday morning to participate in a race that honors Dolly Parton.
Organizers said they hoped to honor Dolly with the 9-to-5 race through her hometown with the “Butterfly Mile.”
“This is a 100% road race with a flat, scenic 5K route that winds through downtown streets and greenways,” said Tracy Long, Race Chair, SCA Promotions Committee. “You’ll be safe and sound thanks to the Sevierville Police Department handling road closures.”
Everything will start and stop at the intersection of Court & Bruce streets in downtown Sevierville. That’s basically Sevierville’s version of Times Square. Gatlinburg Brewery providing beer and water, and snacks by Healthy Balance and Publix prior to the Awards Ceremony.
You don’t have to be the best running to win a prize. The best Dolly themed runner will receive 2 passes to Dollywood Parks and Resorts. First 100 children under 10, receive a FREE Little Engine that Could book and Activity Kit and all runners receive a participation medal.
Money raised from the event will go to support the Sevierville Commons Association. The 501c(3) organization with a mission to “Provide an enjoyable Downtown experience for residents, visitors, and business owners, while recognizing, preserving, and enhancing the qualities of Downtown Sevierville, Tennessee.”
The 9-to-5 road race is on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Downtown Sevierville with events leading up to the main event on Saturday.
