(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Avid runners and fans of Dollywood took on what could be the most interesting race to date as they ran through Dollywood in the first ever Run Dollywood.
The first events of the inaugural Run Dollywood weekend took place at Dollywood Parks & Resorts in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The weekend events included a 5k run, a 10k run and a kids run.
Participants laced up on Sunday morning for a half-marathon which took them through Dollywood theme park, Dollywood’s Splash Country water park, and onto the properties at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort and Spa, as well as Dollywood’s HeartSong Lodge & Resort.
