(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Pigeon Forge Police released information surrounding a shooting in the parking lot of Dolly Parton’s Stampede on Saturday night.
Pigeon Forge Police said one person died after being taken to the hospital.

This evening at approximately 7:35 pm officers responded to a 911 call reporting a gunshot in the parking lot of The Stampede. Upon arrival, Officers located two males inside a vehicle. One individual reported that he had a handgun in his possession when it discharged, striking the other male. The victim was transported to LeConte Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.
This incident remains under an active investigation. No additional information will be released at this time.
