(GATLINBURG, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Sidney James Mountain Lodge in Gatlinburg is still getting back to normal after a fire early in April
The lodge said on Thursday, the front desk and lobby is now open and ready to welcome guests. The hotel called it “A great day!” in a post on Facebook.
Last week power was restored to the pool and was reopened for use.

The Sidney James Mountain Lodge in Gatlinburg on Thursday said it would stay open for guests after five rooms burned causing significant damage to one building.
Firefighters arrived to find flames shooting through the roof. In all, About a dozen rooms are not able to be used.
The lodge on Thursday said they plan to stay open for guests and are working with the utility company to restore power to portions of the buildings not impacted.
“The building affected by the fire houses the main electrical supply for our front desk, housekeeping laundry, indoor pool, and café, as well as our internet, phone systems, and satellite TV. As a result, these services are temporarily unavailable property wide,” said the lodge spokesperson.
“We are working closely with Sevier County Electric and licensed electricians, who are diligently working to restore power to that building as quickly and safely as possible.”
Other buildings and areas were unaffected, have power at this time. The pool they said was working.

The Gatlinburg Fire Department is still investigating what caused the fire on Wednesday Morning.
