The work week starts off much like the weekend with sunshine and temperatures near 90.
(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – With 90s reached over the weekend, more of those hot afternoons are in store for us on Monday across the Mountains.
The North Carolina Side near Cherokee and Maggie Valley will be cool compared to Waynesville and Bryson City.
As the water parks open in Sevier County for the weekend, plan on bottles of water, sunscreen and shades so you are prepared. Remember to take breaks form playing in the water and find as much shade as you can.
With area lakes not near summer pool, watch out if you get in the water there can be debris that make swimming dangerous.
By next week we do get some rain chances of half an inch or so. That will be welcome, but not enough to end our drought.
