A local Sevier County Campground is celebrating 10 years and plans daily activities for the kids and community.
(GATLINBURG, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – The Greenbriar Campground celebrates 10 years of business under new ownership over the Memorial Day weekend.
The Greenbriar Campground is just a stone’s throw away from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Greenbriar Entrance and is surrounded by creeks and streams for a relaxing day, week or weekend in the Gatlinburg area.
You can pitch a tent, bring your RV or camper, or stay in one of the luxury mini cabins for added comfort. Cabins include a main bedroom, a room with bunk beds for the kids and a full kitchen and bathroom. You must bring your own linens, sheets and towels for the bed. But the kitchens are full loaded with pots, pans and cleaning supplies.
Be prepared to not go far from the campsites with grills, rocking chairs and fire pits for evening enjoyment by the campfire.
Mornings start with kids’ activities planned all summer at the pavilion area.
“I want people to feel like this is their home away from home. I feel like we’re building memories,” said Courtney Belmont, General Manager. “I want them to come back year after year and see how much we’ve added, like this year we’ve added a gem mine for the kids, we’ve added a carnival for the kids, face painting, all of these things that we’re doing it just brings everyone together.”
New for this year includes the addition of two new cabins on the river. Plenty of ideas for the family to spend time together.
“It gives these kids a way to get outside and enjoy nature and have an amazing time,” Belmont added as she begins her tenth year as General Manager.
New camp store items have arrived “Roy the Raccoon” got his own sticker, 10th anniversary tees in three colors, new games, dog toys of all shapes and sizes, and “Wigglitz”.
