(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Quilters from across the country will gather in Pigeon Forge this week for A Mountain Quiltfest™, a celebration of quilting artistry, heritage and community at the LeConte Center.

The annual event offers attendees an opportunity to view award-winning quilts, learn new techniques and shop for quilting supplies and accessories from vendors showcasing the latest trends in the craft.

A highlight of the festival is the quilt show, where quilters can enter their creations in a variety of categories for judging and prizes. Organizers say the exhibition provides visitors with a chance to appreciate the skill, creativity and craftsmanship behind both traditional and contemporary quilts.

Daily demonstrations will give attendees an inside look at quilting techniques and traditions. Among the featured presentations is an Antique Bed Turning, during which historic quilts are displayed and their stories shared, offering a glimpse into the personal and cultural history woven into each piece.

Visitors also can take advantage of onsite quilt appraisals conducted by an expert and browse a large vendor mall featuring fabrics, tools, patterns and unique quilting accessories.

The event will include daily prize giveaways and a show-and-tell session Wednesday evening, allowing quilters to share their work and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

A Mountain Quiltfest has become a popular destination for quilting enthusiasts, drawing participants from across the region and beyond to celebrate an art form that continues to blend creativity, tradition and storytelling.

The event is being held at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge.
