New entertainment center combines MLB-licensed technology, golf simulators and family attractions under one roof.
(PIGEON FORGE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE — A new family entertainment venue is giving visitors a chance to step into the batter’s box like a professional baseball player while also offering golf simulators, miniature golf and arcade games.
The Sweet Spot recently opened in Sevierville, featuring MLB-licensed baseball simulators, golf simulators, a sports-themed miniature golf course with automatic scoring and an arcade with classic and modern games.
General Manager Brent Long said while golf simulators have become increasingly common, the baseball simulators have generated the most excitement.
“A lot of people are familiar with golf simulators,” Long said. “You can hit balls on the driving range, play a full 18 holes or compete in game modes like scrambles, longest drive and closest to the pin. But the biggest attraction that’s drawn everybody in is the baseball simulators.”
Long said the HitTrax baseball simulators use the same technology found in Major League Baseball training facilities.
“It’s the same system all of the major league teams have in their training facilities,” he said. “Guests can choose the team they’re playing as, select the stadium and even play in places like Truist Park.”
The simulators offer several ways to play, from batting practice sessions for baseball players to full nine-inning games between friends or teammates.
“If you’re here for a baseball tournament, you can get batting practice,” Long said. “Or you can split into teams, pick your favorite clubs and play a full nine-inning game to see who comes out on top.”
In addition to the sports simulators, The Sweet Spot features a themed miniature golf course, arcade games and a dedicated space for birthday parties and other group events.
The entertainment center joins a growing list of indoor attractions in Sevier County designed to provide year-round activities for residents and visitors alike.
