Department pays tribute to Dolly’s lasting impact on Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains
PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Information Center) — The Pigeon Forge Police Department is honoring the life and legacy of Dolly Parton with a special tribute on its patrol vehicles.
The department has placed commemorative stickers on its police cruisers in remembrance of Parton and the impact she had on Pigeon Forge and the surrounding community.
Police said the tribute recognizes all Parton did for the area, particularly Pigeon Forge, where her influence has helped shape the community and its tourism industry.
“Her impact on Pigeon Forge and the people who call it home will never be forgotten,” the department said in a social media post.
The stickers feature a tribute to Parton and her legacy as the community continues to remember the East Tennessee icon.
The department referred to Parton as the “Dreamer-in-Chief” and said the cruiser stickers are a small way to honor the one-of-a-kind entertainer and philanthropist.
Parton’s connection to the Smoky Mountains and Pigeon Forge spans decades, with her influence reflected throughout the community.
