PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — A brand-new event is making its debut in Pigeon Forge this summer, giving trucking enthusiasts and families alike a chance to experience some of the nation’s most impressive custom big rigs while supporting a good cause.
The inaugural Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown will take place July 31 through Aug. 1 at the LeConte Event Center, featuring a weekend filled with custom truck displays, vendors, entertainment and nightly light shows.
The event will showcase both indoor and outdoor exhibits, allowing visitors to get an up-close look at professionally customized semi-trucks from across the region. Organizers say the show is designed to appeal not only to trucking enthusiasts but also to families looking for a unique Smoky Mountain experience.
In addition to the truck displays, guests can browse vendor booths featuring trucking accessories, merchandise and specialty exhibits throughout the event.
One of the weekend’s signature attractions will be the nightly parking lot light shows, where illuminated big rigs will create a colorful display after sunset.
Unlike many events, admission to the Smoky Mountain Big Rig Showdown is by donation, with 100% of proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
The event will be held at the LeConte Event Center in Pigeon Forge, continuing the venue’s growing lineup of specialty shows that draw visitors from across the Southeast.
