Participants will learn about feline nutrition while creating homemade treats to take home for their cats.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. — Cat lovers will have the opportunity to create homemade treats for their furry companions this fall during a hands-on workshop hosted by Sevier County 4-H.

The Cat Treat-Making Workshop is scheduled for Nov. 17 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sevier County Extension Office.

For $5 per participant, attendees will prepare a variety of homemade cat treats while learning about safe ingredients and the basics of feline nutrition. Participants will also take their treats home to share with their pets.

Organizers say a previous workshop was a popular success, and they expect this year’s event to fill quickly.

Registration will open soon through the Sevier County 4-H Facebook page and website. Space is limited.

For more information, call 865-453-3695 or email danirinker@utk.edu.

While the workshop is all about cats, organizers ask that participants leave their feline friends at home.
