GATLINBURG, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Adventure Center) — Gatlinburg has been named one of Blue Ridge Outdoors’ 2026 Top 100 Adventure Towns, earning a spot in the publication’s Small-Town category.

The annual list recognizes communities across the Blue Ridge region for their outdoor recreation, adventure and exploration opportunities.

Gatlinburg joins 99 other destinations on this year’s list.

Located at the doorstep of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Gatlinburg offers access to a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, wildlife viewing and scenic drives.

The city also serves as a gateway to the more than 800 miles of trails and mountain landscapes within the Great Smoky Mountains.

Now, readers of Blue Ridge Outdoors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite destinations within each size category.

Gatlinburg is encouraging residents, businesses and visitors to support the city by voting during the competition.

Voting is available at Blue Ridge Outdoors Top Towns.

The four destinations receiving the most votes across the size categories will be featured in the November/December issue of Blue Ridge Outdoors. The issue also will feature the complete list of 100 Top Adventure Towns.

Blue Ridge Outdoors says its publication reaches more than 300,000 outdoor enthusiasts and adventure travelers throughout the region.
