Dolly’s hometown story continues in Sevierville
The tributes won’t stop at the Dollywood gates.
The Sevierville Chamber of Commerce is preparing to launch “In Dolly’s Footsteps,” a walking-tour program highlighting places throughout Sevierville connected to Parton and her family during her childhood.
Markers will be placed at locations Parton and her family frequented, giving visitors an opportunity to learn more about the people, places and experiences that helped shape her.
11 locations in downtown Sevierville are planned to be featured. This includes the Dolly Parton Statue, Red’s where Dolly got her first hamburger, and The Pines where Dolly had her first paid performance.
