TOWNSEND, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Adventure Center) — A local service organization is putting money behind its mission to help children and strengthen communities across the foothills.
The Foothills Kiwanis Club is offering grants ranging from $500 to $1,000 to local organizations that support children and youth in Townsend, Walland and Wears Valley.
The grants are designed to support programs and organizations focused on youth education, health and welfare.
For community groups already working to make a difference in the lives of local children, the funding could provide an extra boost for programs, activities and services benefiting area youth.
Applications due Sept. 11
Organizations interested in applying are encouraged to review the grant information and submit their applications before the deadline.
