GATLINBURG, Tenn. — Visitors looking to experience the rich heritage of the Smoky Mountains can explore handcrafted treasures during the Appalachian Craft Fest, coming to the Gatlinburg Convention Center Aug. 13-16.
The four-day event will feature handcrafted Appalachian artwork, skilled local artisans and live craft demonstrations, giving guests an opportunity to see traditional techniques passed down through generations.
Held daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the festival offers shoppers the chance to find one-of-a-kind handmade items while learning about the region’s long-standing arts and crafts traditions.
Children 18 and younger are admitted free, making the event a family-friendly stop for locals and visitors alike.
The Appalachian Craft Fest will be held at the Gatlinburg Convention Center, located at 234 Airport Road near Traffic Light No. 8.
Hosted by Trio of Peddlers in partnership with members of the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community, the event celebrates the creativity and craftsmanship that have long been a hallmark of Southern Appalachian culture.
