The Smokies LIVE Travel Center is following potential delays in Blount County.
BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Travel Center) — TDOT said drivers on Pellissippi Parkway should expect lane restrictions and possible brief delays as construction continues between Cusick Road and State Route 33.
SR 162 is reduced from two lanes to one through the project area while construction crews perform bridge work.
Motorists also should be prepared for possible brief rolling roadblocks between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily as needed for blasting operations.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation is advising drivers to watch for changing conditions and workers in the area and use extreme caution while traveling through the construction zone.
Drivers should allow extra time and be prepared for delays.
