(SEVIERVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – A small batch of snow will move across the area tonight, but the bigger story will be the freezing cold that settles in for the start of Thursday.
It’s around 7 p.m. tonight I see a batch of snow moving across the area. It will be brief and only amount to a small dusting in the Knoxville area.
Closer to Gatlinburg and Cherokee, NC it will be only slightly more impressive. Maybe 0.03″ of snow. Not even enough to measure.
The whole thing comes to a close around 11 p.m.
I think the bigger problem going into Thursday morning will be this freezing as a solid sheet of ice. Temperatures are in the 20s to start Thursday.
You need to watch your step as you go out the door on Thursday and then watch for patches of ice on your drive to work or school.
There is another burst of snow that come through overnight Friday with a similar set up.

Will you stop please? Lol, we’re all so sick of this weather! We need sunshine and 75 degree temps! Thank you! 😊
Well, you got to talk to someone else about that one… I wouldn’t mind a cruise right now.
Thank you for your updates
