(KNOXVILLE, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – TDOT has announced planned traffic delays on Interstate 75 South through Knox County. The planned delays are a result of blasting near the Raccoon Valley Road and Emory Road/Powell areas.

Blasting activities planned Tuesday, February 24 at 1pm.
Rolling roadblocks will be in place on I-75 South, beginning at Exit 117 (Raccoon Valley Road), as crews perform blasting activities near the Exit 112 (Emory Road/Powell) ramp.
These rolling roadblocks will allow crews to safely clear any debris that may land on the roadway. Duration of rolling roadblocks is approximately 15-20 minutes.
This schedule is contingent on favorable weather conditions. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
