(GATLINBURG, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – As tourist season quickly approaches, local areas are trying to finalize all plans to be ready for a new season of tourists. This will include some road closures this week in Gatlinburg as the city works on infrastructure.
March 2, 2026
One lane in the 960 block of Parkway and the sidewalk will be closed beginning Monday, March 2, running through Wednesday, March 4.
The lane closure will be in effect for the curbside northbound lane of Parkway. The sidewalk will be closed in this area, and detour signs will be placed in the crosswalks at 946 and 976 Parkway to allow for pedestrian travel.
March 3, 2026
One lane of northbound traffic in the 500 block of East Parkway (US Highway 321) will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, March 3 beginning at 9 a.m. for water tap installation work.
The temporary closure will be in effect until approximately 1 p.m.
March 4, 2026
Temporary lane closures will be in effect in the 900 block of Ski Mountain Road on Wednesday, March 4 for water tap installation work.
The temporary closure will be in effect until approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
