‘Sky Pirates of Mermaid Bay held a fundraiser for the Sevier County Humane Society generating $2,000 for donations to the organization
Sky Pirates of Mermaid Bay recently hosted its first annual
“Pirates, Putts, and Pups” community event, raising support and awareness for the Sevier County
Humane Society through donations, pet adoptions and family-friendly activities.
As part of the event, Sky Pirates donated $2,000 to the Sevier County Humane Society to support
the organization’s ongoing mission of caring for animals in need throughout Sevier County. The
event took place May 3 and welcomed guests to enjoy a day of mini golf, community
engagement and opportunities to meet adoptable dogs brought onsite by the humane society.
Guests attending the event also enjoyed complimentary popcorn and a free tie-dye activity with
the purchase of a Sky Pirates T-shirt.
“We are incredibly thankful for the support from our local community and proud to partner with
the Sevier County Humane Society for our first-ever Pirates, Putts, and Pups event,” said Dylan
Brooks, general manager of Sky Pirates of Mermaid Bay. “Giving back locally is important to us,
and it was amazing to see families connect with these animals while enjoying everything Sky
Pirates has to offer. We look forward to growing this event in the years ahead.”
The Sevier County Humane Society said events like Pirates, Putts, and Pups help increase
visibility for adoptable pets while strengthening community partnerships.
“We are so grateful to Sky Pirates of Mermaid Bay for their generosity and support,” said Barbie
White, executive director of the Sevier County Humane Society. “Not only did this event help
raise funds for our organization, but it also created meaningful opportunities for some of our dogs to meet potential adopters in a fun and welcoming environment. Partnerships like this truly
make a difference.”
