If you remember a few years ago, an elk ventured away from the other in Cherokee and made its way over the mountain into Tennessee. It appears several more have made the journey this time and are out exploring in Townsend.
Kyle Grainger is headed to Townsend this afternoon to see if he can spot the elk and where they have been checking out on the Tennessee side.
