KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Visitors to downtown Knoxville’s Market Square now have a new way to enjoy the area as the Market Square Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA) officially launched Friday.
The program allows participating businesses to sell beer in specially labeled cups that customers 21 and older can enjoy outdoors within the designated DORA boundaries.
As of July 24, 2026, five businesses are participating.
Visitors can look for DORA signs throughout Market Square and at participating businesses. Officials say more locations may be added soon.
