🚨 FLASH FLOODING REPORTED ACROSS EAST TENNESSEE 🚨
SMOKIES.LIVE STORM CENTER: Thunderstorms are producing flash flooding across parts of East Tennessee, with radar indicating dangerous flooding is occurring or developing.
Flooding is possible along small creeks and streams, highways, streets, underpasses and low-lying areas, especially where drainage is poor.
Communities impacted include:
📍 Knoxville
📍 Sevierville
📍 Gatlinburg
📍 Pigeon Forge
📍 Pittman Center
📍 Seymour
📍 Wears Valley
📍 Kimberlin Heights
📍 McMahan
🚗 Travelers should use extreme caution.
Flooding is also possible along I-75 between mile markers 108 and 109 and I-40 between mile markers 384 and 403.
TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.
Never drive through a flooded roadway. Just a few inches of moving water can sweep a vehicle off the road, and most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
