Majority of outages reported from Wears Valley to Pigeon Forge following storms.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Storm Center) — More than 4,000 Sevier County Electric customers were without power Tuesday night as storms moved across the Smokies. In Knox County, KUB had numbers closer to 2,000.

The majority of the outages were reported in the Wears Valley to Pigeon Forge area, according to Sevier County Electric.

The outages come as strong thunderstorms moved through the region, bringing the potential for damaging winds, lightning and heavy rain.

Sevier County Electric maintains an online outage map for customers to monitor restoration efforts and report outages.

Customers experiencing an outage can also contact Sevier County Electric’s Power Action Line at 865-774-6300.

The utility serves more than 60,000 residential and commercial customers in Sevier and Blount counties.

Crews are working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

Smokies.LIVE will continue monitoring the outages and storms across the region and provide updates as they become available.

For those of you on KUB, more than 1,000 without power mostly in South Knoxville to Seymour.
