Apples, elderberry syrup, baked goods, live music and more are on tap for Saturday morning at 250 Pigeon St.
WAYNESVILLE, N.C. (Smokies.LIVE Events Center) β It may still be August, but autumn is already making an appearance at the market this weekend.
Visitors can stop by Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at 250 Pigeon St. for a morning filled with local food, music and a taste of the season ahead.
Shoppers can pick up apples for cidering, elderberry syrup and plenty of baked goodies β perfect for getting ready for cooler days and the return of fall.
Live music will be provided by Two Armadillos, while the American Legion Cribbage Club will be set up at the front of the market and ready to introduce visitors to the game.

SAVE THE DATE FOR SUMMER’S END
The market is also looking ahead to its 2026 Summer’s End Festival next Saturday.
The celebration will feature a $200 produce raffle, a Tomato Cook-Off featuring treats from vendors and activities for kids.
And on Sept. 5, the next Market Mentors class will feature Fire on the Mountain Candle Co., with a focus on non-toxic candle options.
For those ready for sweater weather, mountain mornings and the first tastes of fall, Saturday’s market offers a perfect way to start the season.
