Tennessee welcomes the Paladins to a sold-out Neyland Stadium Saturday afternoon for the 2026 season opener.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE GameDay Center) — It’s football time in Tennessee.
The No. 20/18 Tennessee Volunteers open the 2026 season Saturday afternoon against the Furman Paladins at Neyland Stadium, preserved by Pilot.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., with the Vols beginning their 130th season of football in front of another packed house.
Neyland Stadium is expected to be sold out for the 28th consecutive game, extending a streak that dates back to Sept. 17, 2022.
Tennessee enters the opener coming off an 8-5 season in 2025, while Furman is 1-0 after finishing 6-6 last season.

1:50 p.m. — Pride of the Southland Band March
3:18 p.m. — Pride of the Southland Band pregame performance
3:21 p.m. — National anthem and flyover
3:29 p.m. — Vols run through the T
3:32 p.m. — Kickoff
The flyover will feature T-38 Talons from the 90th Flying Training Squadron at Sheppard Air Force Base.
