More than 300 student-athletes will compete at Sevierville Golf Club, and organizers need nearly 200 volunteers to help make the championship a success.
SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Travel Center) — Sevierville is getting ready to welcome some of Tennessee’s best high school golfers, and organizers are asking the community to help make the 2026 TSSAA Golf State Championships a success.
The championships are scheduled for Oct. 4-9, 2026, at Sevierville Golf Club, where more than 300 high school golfers will compete for state titles.
Hosting the championship is an opportunity for Sevierville to showcase its community, hospitality and golf course while welcoming student-athletes, coaches and families from across Tennessee.
But putting on an event of this size takes plenty of help.
Organizers are looking for nearly 200 volunteers throughout championship week. Opportunities include:
- Scoring
- Player check-in
- Shuttle driving
- Other event-support positions
Local businesses are encouraged to put together teams of employees and volunteers to participate.
Organizers say volunteering as a business team is a chance to support student-athletes while also showing community pride and highlighting local businesses to visitors attending the tournament.
Individual volunteers are also encouraged to sign up and help Sevierville put its best foot forward during the championship.
The tournament will be held at Sevierville Golf Club, 1444 Old Knoxville Highway.
