“I Will Always Love You” special will feature live performances, archival footage and personal stories
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Smokies.LIVE Entertainment Center) — The Country Music Association will celebrate the life and career of Dolly Parton with a two-hour television special set to air live Oct. 21.
“CMA Presents I Will Always Love You: A Celebration of Dolly Parton” will air from 8 to 10 p.m. CST on ABC and Disney+ internationally, with the special becoming available on Hulu the following day.
The event will bring together live performances, archival footage and personal stories highlighting Parton’s decades-long career and influence.
The special will showcase Parton’s work as a singer, songwriter, entertainer, humanitarian and entrepreneur, while exploring the lasting impact she has had on generations of fans.
The program will be filmed live at Belmont University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts in Nashville.
Robert Deaton is executive producer of the special, which is being produced through a partnership between the Country Music Association and Belmont University.
The celebration comes as fans continue to reflect on Parton’s contributions to country music and her broader impact on entertainment and communities around the world.
For viewers, the two-hour special will offer a chance to experience performances and stories celebrating one of country music’s most recognizable figures and the legacy she has built across generations.
