Daily Fall Color Rambles highlight changing leaves, mountain biodiversity and science
LINVILLE, N.C. (Smokies.LIVE Travel Center) — Fall color is continuing to spread across Grandfather Mountain, with more foliage beginning to brighten the landscape across the North Carolina High Country.
A recent view from the Wilson Center for Nature Discovery shows increasing color around Linville Peak as leaves continue their seasonal transition.
Visitors can take in the changing scenery during Fall Color Rambles, which are being offered daily this week at Grandfather Mountain.
The guided nature walks begin at 1 p.m. and focus on the mountain’s unique biodiversity, along with the science behind the changing of the leaves.
The walks offer guests an opportunity to learn more about the seasonal transformation while exploring the mountain with park guides.
