The ‘Peaceful Side of the Smokies’ opens one of the most relaxing summer experiences with tubing.
(TOWNSEND, Tenn.) SMOKIES.LIVE – Tubing season has officially started in the Great Smoky Mountains for the Memorial Day Weekend.
The River Rat Tubing in Townsend opens for a 31st season of thrills on the water.
“The river, the memories, the best days with your favorite people… we’re ready for another season of good ole times,” they said on Facebook.
River Rat was founded in 1995 with just 50 tubes on the Little River and has grown into one of the region’s most recognized outdoor attractions.
To celebrate opening season, Tennessee residents receive $3 off tubing and whitewater rafting per person from May 23 through June 6 with a valid Tennessee ID. Reservations are required online using promo codes TUBE26-LOCAL and RAFT26-LOCAL.
Group discounts are also available all season for parties of 20 or more.
